Rich Geisel: Co-Founder/President

Rich attended Seton Hall University and has had a 35 year career servicing the requests of his clients in the I.T. Industry. In 1990 he became an accidental philanthropist after inheriting the sponsorship of a little Ethiopian girl after the passing of his mom. By 2011 that sponsorship list had grown to thirteen kids scattered around the Globe. His passion for human rights and philanthropy grew as the years passed as he joined millions of other people actively participating in the missions of  The Carter Foundation, Doctors without Borders, Oxfam, Philabundance, Green Peace, UNICEF, the World Wildlife Federation, Maryknoll Lay Missionaries, Compassion International and the C.N.E.W.A.

In the 90’s Rich spent three years as the youth director for St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Morgantown PA, where his mentor; the late Rev. John Harvard strengthened his commitment to Christ and Mission. Partly inspired by John’s own missionary work Rich heard his own call in 2010 and in March of 2011 he took a year off to volunteer on four continents and meet all the children he was caring for at the time. That journey was the water that bloomed Orchid.

Rich still spends most of his time servicing his friends in business that continue to expand, sponsoring his children and in his spare time he manages Orchid’s affairs. He is married to his amazing wife Elodie and they both are blessed with a beautiful son; Paul.

They attend LCBC church in Lancaster City, PA.
