Rich Geisel: Co-Founder/President

In 1990 Rich became anĀ accidental philanthropist after inheriting the sponsorship of a little Ethiopian girl when his wonderful mom passed away from sudden kidney failure. By 2011 that sponsorship list had grown to thirteen little boys and girls scattered all around the Globe.

Rich had spent three years as the youth director for St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Morgantown PA, where his mentor; the late Rev. John Harvard strengthened his commitment to Christ and Mission. Partly inspired by John’s own missionary work in Peru, Rich heard his own call in 2010 and in March of 2011 he took a year off to volunteer on four continents and meet all the children he was caring for at the time. That journey was the water that bloomed Orchid. After 12 months volunteering in 14 countries he decided to more actively join the millions of other people focused on staking a claim to support the under-served. His participation in organizations including The Carter Foundation, Doctors without Borders, Oxfam, Philabundance, Green Peace, UNICEF, the World Wildlife Federation, Maryknoll Lay Missionaries, Compassion International and the C.N.E.W.A. had fed his passion for philanthropy and he decided to try his own hand at making a big difference, even with small steps.

Rich keeps the roof over his families head by continuing to service the special clients he has been blessed to work with during an ongoing 40 year career in the I.T. Industry.

Rich is married to his amazing wife Elodie and they have both been blessed with their beautiful son; Paul.

They call Lititz home and attend LCBC church in Lancaster City, PA.
