Getting to the Root of the Matter
In our current society, we often have the “every man for himself” mentality. We seem to focus so much on what we can do for ourselves that we often do not leave any room to consider what we can do for others.
Imagine how much richer and more fulfilling our lives would be if we were willing to change that mentality.
Imagine how much better our lives would be if we were willing, not only to live our lives for our own well-being and happiness, but for the well- being and happiness of others as well.
Orchids is an organization that helps to point you in the direction of helping others. Orchids currently serves 12 different communities in Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Some of the areas that Orchids provides assistance in includes Healthcare, Education, Child Welfare, and Christian outreach.
By becoming an Orchid root, you have the chance to become personally connected to these various communities by becoming a volunteer in one of the many departments that makes up Orchids. If you do not want to volunteer, you can still make a significant difference in the lives of the people in these communities through choosing to donate. It does not need to be a difficult amount. Even just five dollars can make a world of difference to these communities. Also, the really neat thing about Orchids is that you have direct control over exactly which community you want your donation to go to, and exactly what specific project within that community you want to help support!
