What does one say, about them self and not come off sounding like a fool or conceited. The real truth is that God has blessed me in so many ways, it is impossible to describe all of them. As I look back on my many blessings, several thoughts come to mind.

I have been lucky enough to be married to the love of my life, Laura, for 14 years and together we have 2 beautiful girls, Alexis Paige (13) and Makayla Jo (9). Our daughters keep us busy, with cheerleading, gymnastics, and piano lessons. Alexis’ cheer squad made it to the national finals in 2013, and it was such a proud day for my family. As a family we love to travel together to as many warm climates as possible, you could call us, “beach people,” as my mother so often does.
I was raised by 2 loving parents and taught to have beliefs and form my own opinions. I was raised in the Catholic faith: but, I enjoy the readings of Buddha and other Eastern Asian Theologies. I believe if you do good things for others, good things will follow for everyone.

Professionally I am the founder of an Information Security Technology consulting firm, Interactive Security. This has blessed me with the opportunity to see the world traveling both nationally and internationally for pleasure and work. These opportunities have opened my eyes to what a different place the world is and how blessed we are to have our basic needs met on a daily basis. This world exposure has shown me that happiness does not come from material things. I remember seeing children in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, just playing with sticks and hitting rocks by a dried out creek bed, just having the time of their lives. Such a simple life in the poorest of neighborhoods, yet the children was so happy and carefree.

When I have free time I enjoy being around the water, working on cars, or out on a race track, racing one of my race cars in several, different, competitive, racing series.. I am somewhat of an adrenaline sports junkie, something both my daughters have imitated, making their mother, Laura, a little uneasy at times. “ Why shouldn’t, a 5 year old sneak on to a roller coaster that goes upside down, I say”? Laura does support our daring adventures even though it makes hers a little uneasy.

As for my music I am a Country and Reggae purist, although I like good Jazz music as well. A lot can be learned from music if you take the time to really listen.

2 quotes that tend to describe me best…
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively” – Bob Marley ~One Love~

My most prized possessions in this world are my family and friends. I would do anything for them. This leads me to why I am here, Mr. Richard Geisel. I met Rich a little over 12 years ago and we have had many discussions about life, wealth, relationships, and friends. Many of them I probably do not remember because 95% of them started with a good bottle of wine at Rich’s insistence, of course. But in all seriousness, my friend Rich has become a 2nd brother to me over the years, my daughters refer to him as “Uncle Rich.” When Rich told me about his, journey or quest he was going to take I was a little surprised. Not that he was going to travel the world, but that he would be doing it in the way he did. But during his journey Rich changed, he always believed in helping people, but before it was mostly financial aid to anyone in need.. Now he wanted to be the leader, he wanted to discover the people that needed help and discover ways to help them. I saw his deep passion for this mission.

So when he launched the Orchids of Light Foundation and asked me to be on the board, I was honored to actually join him on this new journey.
